SanLife Analysis
The SanLife Analysis comprises SanLife Audit and an analysis composed of one or more of the three options below while checking the array configuration according to EMC Best Practices. It can be conducted once or be set up as a recurrent service whose frequency will be determined based on your needs.
I Performance Report
The Performance Report is a thorough analysis of the array performance conducted by a SAN expert. Based on the SanLife Audit the expert examines your array according to several criteria and identifies all potential or actual performance issues which are then ranked based on their importance level. Recommendations of configuration changes to be implemented follow the analysis.
II Capacity Planning Report
The Capacity Planning Report presents our clients with an analysis of their current SAN capacity, a projection of their SAN growth, and recommendations for effectively implementing the changes necessary for the targeted capacity expansion. That analysis is conducted by a SAN expert following one of two methodologies:
- Analysis based on the current and past capacity usage
- Analysis based on the projected or required growth rate
III Billing Report
The Billing Report was developed as an answer to a need expressed among several clients for a tool to determine the allocation of their array usage.
Once the usage distribution of your array is identified, you are able to rebill the different users for their individual SAN capacity usage. Based on your company specifics we will provide you with a report stating the capacity or I/O consumption per environment:
- per user
- per client
- per business unit
Why Use SanLife:
- To save up to 80% of preparation time for your array administration-related tasks
- To get an exhaustive description of your SAN configuration to improve its performance
- To guarantee the EMC Best Practices compliance
- To effectively plan your SAN growth and accurately forecast your future investments
- To identify the allocation of your array usage between the different users and be able to rebill each entity accordingly
